Muslims are the most charitable in the country. That comes as no surprise to us as giving charity is an obligation for most Muslims. You may not be surprised to learn that Ramadan is the most charitable month of the year for Muslims. Islam teaches that the blessings of charity given in Ramadan is multiplied by 70 times.
The charitable donations take many forms and it helps many projects and people. There are many beautiful people and organisations that do some amazing work throughout the year with this charity. One such organisation is Muslim Aid. We have decided to do our part and donate what we can to their projects. May Allah accept it from us and purify our intentions.
For the month of Ramadan, we will donate £1 from every box of 1kg and £5 from every box of 5kg box Zaytoun jumbo medjoul sold. These are Palestinian dates, grown by Palestinian farmers. They are fair trade which ensures the Palestinians benefit from its sale. We hope that our donations aids those in need this Ramadan, particularly those in Gaza and the rest of Palestine.
MyMuslimMall.com was set up with the intention of promoting not only halal and Islamic products but also an Islamic lifestyle and fair, ethical trade – which in our view is just trade promoted by Islam.
Muslim Aid, in their words:
Muslim Aid was established in the UK in 1985 by community leaders from 17 Islamic organisations in response to the drought in the Horn of Africa. As a leading and well established faith-based British humanitarian charity, Muslim Aid’s work is governed by the teachings of Islam, such as compassion, empathy, generosity and helping others in need. This is implemented through emergency responses and eliminating poverty and its causes by developing innovative and sustainable solutions that enable individuals and their communities to live with dignity.
MyMuslimMall.com are committed to promoting better, more ethical trade and providing aid to the needy. With time, inshaAllah, we hope to be in a position to contribute more and more. We hope that you keep us in your duas this Ramadan in achieving this ambition.
